Urumqi Water Supply Project

In March, 2002, Zhongyi was contracted

to provide the first phase of the Xiao Wa Cao

Counter Siphon Engineering project to take water

from the E Er Qi Si River to Urumqi by using FRP pipe.

The project is a national main construction and

it is also a largest and longest in distance FRP

pipe line in China at present time. The project

used DN3100mm FRP pipe with a length of 10324m,

working pressure of 0.46Mpa and stiffness of 7500Mpa.

The construction conditions were very difficult, but were

successfully resolved and the line was put into service.

Water Diversion Works of Shishi City

For this project Zhongyi constructed 33.2 Km (109,000 lf)

of DN 1,200 and DN 1,400 (48¡± & 60¡±) FRP pipe with a

working pressure 0.4Mpa and 0.6Mpa. The design vacuum

was  1kg/cm 2. The system was buried at an average

depth of 2~2.5m (6-8¡¯). The water depth over the pipe top

surface is about 1m. The project used 500 different

kinds of fittings. The pipe line cuts through 8 rivers, one

railway line and one freeway .The underground water

level is high in Shishi area and the soil conditions are f

airly poor, so construction was a challenge that was

successfully met. With shoring up the pipe supports

and adjusting the pipe design data, the system was

completed, passed the pressure test and was put into operation.

Offshore Sewage Project, Fujian China

This project is for sewage discharge in Fujian province,

we adopted DN1500 FRP pipe for a length of 832m,

0.6Mpa, the media is sewage. This project is a landmark

of Zhongyi FRP in the application of offshore.
